Directors Retreat

Connect with public library directors in the Southeastern Wisconsin (SEWI) Libraries region at the annual Library Directors Retreat.
Lunch will be included at no cost to attendees. If you wish to bring your own lunch, it must be self-contained (no refrigeration, microwave, etc. needed). A separate lunch form will be sent closer to the date of the event.
Sessions will include:
Library Advocacy & Story Making – Dawn Tevis, LaCrosse Public Library
If you’re not telling your library story to stakeholders, library users, or policymakers, who is? This session will be especially important for those who want to ensure the great work their library is doing is known by decision makers. It will help you tell your story year-round, with a timely emphasis on advocating for the library’s 2026 budget and activities.
Top 5 Energy Efficient Solutions for Library Facilities – Tom Dragotta, Focus on Energy
Investing in energy efficiency upgrades offers libraries significant financial and operational benefits. By implementing cost-effective strategies such as upgrading to LED lighting, installing advanced HVAC systems, and integrating renewable energy, libraries can lower energy costs, reduce maintenance expenses, and enhance facility value.

Learn about the DPI team that works with public libraries: what are their roles and how do they work for us?
